Museum offering live events
The Martial Arts History Museum is about to launch its newest venture, Live and On-Demand training seminars. Teamed with Gold Star and Stellar, the museum will be offering new ways of learning through a series of how-to workshops and information courses. Their first live broadcast seminar will be on May 22 at 4 pm PST featuring Apache Knife Fighting.
As America and the rest of the world continues to be either shut down or on a limited re-opening, companies like Gold Star, which specializes in live events, have had to re-think their corporate strategy to remain in business. Live and on-demand concerts and special events have become the new norm, at least until Covid has been eradicated.
In this regard, the martial arts industry, which is primarily dependent upon in-person courses, has also taken a new direction. Teaming up with Gold Star and Stellar has proven to be a positive result for a hungry audience who is also having to re-adjust to a new lifestyle.
Martial arts will now be a part of the Gold Star and Stellar line-up featuring various unique seminars, including samurai sword history and application, Chinese meditation through Chi-Kung, keychain stick self-defense, Hawaiian style aerobics, and Apache Knife Fighting.
“All of us, from corporate to the individual, are now having to think of new ways to learn and move forward. Like the many training videos, you now see on in-home running and bike equipment, working with Gold Star will enable professional martial arts courses to be available for everyone to either workout to or enjoy,” adds Michael Matsuda, president of the Martial Arts History Museum.
The first course, Apache Knife Fighting with Robert Redfeather, is now available for purchase at $15. It will be a live broadcast on May 22 at 4 pm PST; however, it will be on-demand after that until June 5, 2021. “This is a huge deal for the martial arts community, and one of the great things about the seminars is that a good portion of the funds will go to help out the Martial Arts History Museum,” adds Matsuda. “It is our plan to offer a new course about every month.”
