Finally, the Museum has a New Home
After so much struggle, year after year, so much heartache and so many broken promises, we have been able to continue to move forward and finally, we have a new location for the Martial Arts History Museum.
Although we have enjoyed our current location in Burbank, CA, we just don’t have enough walk-by traffic and we are not big enough to hold larger events. We are also not large enough for the school districts to visit.
After a year of negotiation, we now have our new, nearly 8,000-square-foot facility (4x our current size), in the great city of Glendale, CA. So many thanks to Karen Matsuda, former Senator Richard Alarcon, icon Michelle Manu, and little ol’ me working to make it happen. And most of all, to all of you who have continued to support us all these years.
We have already begun the move and will close our current facility with a big farewell party on Dec. 9, 2023. It’s going to be a potluck and a fundraiser.
To help us in the move, because we need more walls, more displays, and more cases, we have launched a $15,000 fundraiser. We hope you will continue to support us as we make our move and hopefully, re-open sometime in February.
